My Spoon/Drum Trail
2017 – Travelled to Hollywood U.S.A and was interviewed and performed on a new television series by NBC called Little Big Shots FOREVER YOUNG hosted by Steve Harvey.
2017 – Performances / Speaker / Workshops at various events including Hopetoun School’s Bush Dance, York Show, Capel’s Retro Day, Dardanup’s Seniors Event, Blues at Bridgetown, Nannup Retreat and Bunbury’s Ted X.
2016 – Performed then taught spoons to the 1600 audience at TEDx Sydney in The Sydney Opera House in an attempt to break the Guinness World Spoon Ensemble Record.
2016 – Performances / Speaker / Workshops at Augusta’s River Festival ,Qld’s Woodfordia Planting Festival, Katanning Harmony Festival, COMHWA Anniversary Event plus various Aged Care facilities in W.A.

2015 – Performed in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay’s Exhibitor Live for large US company Spoon Events
2014 – Entertained at Cowaramup town’s successful Guinness World Record for ” People Dressed as Cows.”
2014 – Deb ” Spoons” Perry Promo Clip launched. Performed at Albany Show,Taste of Chittering, Cockburn Spring Fair, plus numerous other venues.
2014 – Deb ” Spoons” Perry Show at Fringe World Perth is nominated for an award.
2013 — Helped launch Melbourne Fashion Week Event.
2013 — Performed & taught 1000 spoons at Oz Harvest’s Qantas sponsored C.E.O Cook Off in Sydney. Support act for Icehouse at this event.
2012 — Contract with Warner Music and frequent trips to the Eastern States to perform at Corporate Events
2012 — Viral clip shown on Ellen, invited to U.S. by Jay Leno, appeared on Sunrise and The Circle, plus many T.V & Radio interviews.
2012 — Video Clip “Deb Spoons Perry does the Black Keys” hits 1 million views in just over 4 weeks. Filmed for Warner Music + produced by Roo Gully Productions.
2012 — At Tamworth Country Music Festival, voted in “Top 10″ from 600 buskers in The Australian Country Music Busking Championships.

2003 — Performed on Channel 7 Telethon. Played drums and spoons with Queen of Boogie Piano, Jan Preston on tour in W.A.
2002 — Judged Champion Spoon Player at Spoon and Harmonica World Titles.
2001 — Audience Appeal Award at Gladstone’s Harbour Festival playing spoons.
1990 — Western Australian Symphony Orchestra’s Family Christmas Concert as a Soloist and played to a 10 min piece called “Fascinating Rhythms”.
1972 – 2000 — Played spoons for family and friends and jammed with various Perth bands including Zydecats with Lucky Oceans.
1972 — Taught to play the spoons by an elderly man, Danny in The Stoned Crow Wine bar in North Fremantle when listening to a jug band, Red Rocket And the Thunderbolt Scramblers.
1966 – 1970 — Played drums in the band called “Diodes”, plus played my drums with pianists and in musicals while teaching in the country.
1962 – 1965 — Taught to play the snare drum at school and had basic kit lessons.Played a big snare drum as the school marched into assembly.
1953 — Told I was good at keeping time with the tambourine when at Kindergarten.
